Hello hello hello!

I'm ephemeralblossom, both here and on AO3. Welcome!

Handy-dandy reference list of fandoms & characters

Doctor Who (2005) (Martha, Chantho, Bill, Jacobi!Master, The Sonic Screwdriver, Tentoo)
Doctor Who RPF (Chris Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, John Hurt, Peter Capaldi, Jodie Whittaker, Billie Piper, John Barrowman, John Simm, Alex Kingston, Karen Gillan, Michelle Gomez)
The Princess Bride (The Cliffs of Insanity, Inigo Montoya, Fezzik, Valerie)
Emperor's New Groove (Kronk's Shoulder Angel, Kronk's Shoulder Devil, Kronk, Kuzco, Yzma)
Fiddler on the Roof (Golde, Motel, Tzeitel)
Camelot (Arthur Pendragon, Guinevere, Lancelot du Lac)
The Decoy Bride (The Haunted Toilet, Iseabail Nic Aoidh, James Arber, Katie Nic Aoidh, Lara Tyler)
Nero Wolfe - Rex Stout (Archie, Wolfe, The Orchid Room, The Red Leather Chair, Inspector Cramer)

In general I am an adventures, plot, fluff, porn, happy endings person, not a darkfic, angsty, melancholy, UST, unhappy endings person. Nothing against the latter or those who like those dynamics! They’re just not what I personally look for from fandom.

Likes
Celebratory sex, fluff, porn, joyful crying, adventures, plots, shy kisses, secret relationships that get taken public, muscles, women being – not cocky/arrogant but totally secure in their awesomeness, banter, team dynamics, friends-to-lovers, enemies-to-lovers, height differences, cultural differences, female strength, mysteries, politics, accidental marriages, diplomacy, sweet romance, sassy romance, deadpan humor, worldbuilding.

DNWs
Cheating, noncon, angst, unhappy endings.

DYW letter

I've been sucked in. I told myself I wouldn't sign up, that I have enough to do in November/December without adding Yuletide (which is kinda intimidating to boot!), but there were just too many threads on FFA, and I have succumbed. :) So, welcome, Dear Yuletide Writer! You're fabulous, and I know I'll love what you write for me. <3

Requested fandoms:
Honor Harrington Series - David Weber (Elizabeth III of Manticore)
Nero Wolfe - Rex Stout (Fritz Brenner)
The Queen's Thief - Megan Whalen Turner (Minister of War)
Golden Age of Detective Fiction Author RPF (Dorothy Sayers, Agatha Christie)
Third Crusade RPF (Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn Yūsuf ibn Ayyūb | Saladin, Richard I of England)
My Fair Lady (1964) (Mrs Higgins)

In general: Author, I've included a few thoughts & prompts, because I've heard from FFA that an "anything" letter is the worst Yuletide crime you can commit! But if they don't take your fancy, I really would be happy with anything about my requested characters. I love them, so you can't go wrong. And if you have an idea of your own already, please feel free to fly with it! Let your creative self shine. :)

Things I'd rather not see: noncon, canon-atypical violence, kink.

Honor Harrington Series - David Weber (Elizabeth III of Manticore)

Anything about Elizabeth. I really like outside POV, so her opinions on any of the series' happenings is great. Worldbuilding would also be very much loved - what is it like to be Manticore's queen? What kind of adventures does she have? What are her relationships with Michelle, Honor, etc., like? How does she deal with it when some of her politicians are shitheads?

Nero Wolfe - Rex Stout (Fritz Brenner)

Like I said above, I really like outside POV. What is Fritz thinking as their interesting little found-family ticks on through the different cases? Does he have opinions, or is he mostly focused on making frickin' good food? Does he provide the last necessary clue on a case? (Perfectly fine to not fully write out a whole case, but to write it more like a noodle incident, or to come in during one of Wolfe's summing-ups.) For this fandom, gen only, please.

The Queen's Thief - Megan Whalen Turner (Minister of War)

Similar to the above requests, I'm really interested in outside POV for this request. What is it like to serve Eddis, and to have a son like Eugenides? What does the Minister of War think about (any book/scene/event)? What's the first meeting with his new daughter-in-law like? (Or, if you want to go really fluffy, with Gen's first child...)

Golden Age of Detective Fiction Author RPF (Dorothy Sayers, Agatha Christie)

I would really love to see a meeting between these two. Maybe they talk about their characters, and how annoying long-running detectives can be, and how they fall in and out of love with them? Maybe they talk about Dorothy's self-insert (Harriet) and how Agatha was inspired to create a "disappearance" worthy of one of her books? Maybe there's a nascent attraction between the two authors (yes! femslash is great!) Maybe they write crossover fanfic (though they wouldn't call it that) where Wimsey meets Marple or Poirot, or Ariadne Oliver meets Harriet Vane (do Sayers & Marple argue about what should happen?) Anything you write me with these two would be very much loved.

Third Crusade RPF (Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn Yūsuf ibn Ayyūb | Saladin, Richard I of England)

I'm really fascinated by these two together. Show me them meeting - do they hit it off? Do they quarrel? Are they impressed by each other, and show each other the utmost respect? Do they flirt? Do they have an illicit tryst? Or maybe it's all/partly epistolary. What kind of letters do they write each other? What do they share? What was up with Richard offering his sister as a bride to seal an alliance, anyways?

Or maybe you want to write a mirror fic, contrasting their lives/reigns and creating character studies of each of them, without ever having them meet. Who do they love? What are their goals? What do they think of war? How do they run their kingdoms?

My Fair Lady (1964) (Mrs Higgins)

Similar to some of my other requests, I'm fascinated by outside POV. I'd love to see Mrs Higgins' take on any of the events of the movie, or on her son's subsequent domestic arrangements. I'd prefer not to have Higgins & Eliza in a romantic relationship, but otherwise my shipping preferences are open. Pickering/Higgins, Pickering/Eliza, Pickering/Mrs Higgins (they'd be adorable together!), Eliza/Freddy - even Eliza/Mrs Higgins, for that matter, I think they have some chemistry! I love Mrs Higgins' dry humor.

Alternatively, feel free to just write me a fic about Mrs Higgins having adventures doing pretty much whatever. What's her life like?
